Built by a founder
who's on the field.
WOWflag™ is the youth flag football brand of Wide Open World LLC — founder-built and founder-taught. Matthew Newman teaches the classes, runs the clinics, and writes every practice plan himself. One standard, everywhere the crown appears.
"I built WOWflag because I believe the scoreboard is the least important thing on a field full of four-year-olds. What matters: every kid plays, every kid grows, and every family drives home smiling. I'll be on the field for every class and every clinic — come say hi."
— Matthew Newman, Founder & Coach
The WOWflag flywheel
Four connected programs, each one feeding the next.
Pre-K classes spark the love
Founder-taught movement classes at preschools introduce kids ages 3–5 to flag games.
The league gives it a home
At ages 4–5, kids join WOWflag league play — and the league grows a new age band each year as they grow.
Curriculum spreads it wider
Teachers and coaches everywhere can run the same field-tested classes through the Curriculum Shop.
The foundation gives it back
A planned foundation will fund free Pre-K outreach and league scholarships — so cost never decides who plays.
The crown means something
The gold WOW crown is our promise of one consistent standard — in coaching, safety, and how every child is treated.
- The tri-peak crown — championship carried with humility.
- The hidden W's — win/win: when a kid grows, everyone wins.
- The twin anchors — a balanced, symmetrical foundation.
- The floating spires — strong, independent structure within.
One Standard. Zero Deviations. WOWflag™ and the crown emblem are trademarks of Wide Open World LLC and appear only in approved configurations.
The WOWflag Football Foundation Planned
Free Pre-K outreach
Bringing the 45-minute class model to under-resourced preschools and Head Start programs at no cost.
League scholarships
Covering registration for families where cost would otherwise be the reason a kid doesn't play.
Coach pipeline grants
Funding training and certification for new coaches — especially women entering coaching for the first time.
The foundation is planned and is not yet a 501(c)(3) organization. We are not soliciting donations at this time — but if you'd like to be notified when it launches, join the interest list and check "foundation updates."
Future franchising
WOWflag is founder-led and Orlando-focused today. Franchising is a long-term goal, and every system we build is designed to one day run brilliantly in someone else's hometown.
